Are YOU a Good Person? Answer the questions below and give yourself one point for every “Yes” answer

Have you ever told a lie, even a little lie? Have you ever stolen anything, even something of small value? Have you ever looked at a person with lust in your heart? Have you ever used God’s name as a curse word? Have you dishonored your mother or your father? Have you desired something that belonged to someone else, and plotted how you could get it? Have you ever wanted to murder someone? Have you ever worshipped something besides God? Have you ever created an idol for yourself? A rock star? Money? A position? There are many kinds of idols. Have you kept the Sabbath every week? God’s Word tells us that every human being has answered “yes’ to at least one of the above questions. The questions are a way of restating the 10 Commandments. God says that whoever breaks even one Commandment is guilty and must be judged. In other words, none of us are good. We are all lawbreakers. We have the option of not paying the penalty for breaking God’s Law. This option is available to anyone who will do four things. (1) Admit to God that you’ve broken His Law. (2) Admit that you cannot pay the penalty yourself. Admit to God that you cannot stand up against His righteous judgment (3) Accept the fact that Jesus Christ, who is God, came to earth and died for your sins. He was put to death in the body, and was then resurrected from the dead to prove once and for all that God has total control over death and life. Accept Jesus’ sacrifice for your lawbreaking. (4) Ask God to send the Holy Spirit to indwell you. Turn your life over to God and worship Him as your Lord (Master) and Savior. If you do steps 1 through 4, your place in heaven is assured. You have crossed over from having to experience punishment to being assured of eternal joy. We said you’d get a prize for taking the quiz.
